Restoring Deleted Inventory Records

Important:

The Inventory Restore feature is under Public Preview. Please contact OneTrust Support to request early access.

You can restore deleted inventory records directly via the inventory's Deleted records page. Inventory records include Assets, Processing activities, Entities, and Third parties.

The Inventory Restore feature is available for the following products: Data Mapping Automation, Third-Party Due Diligence, Third-Party Risk Management, Third-Party Risk Exchange, Compliance Automation and IT & Security Risk Management. You can use the processes below to restore deleted inventory records for any of the products that support this feature.

To restore a deleted inventory record

Note: You cannot restore a deleted record if an active record of the same inventory type already has the same External ID (the identifier used to match an inventory record with an external system). This applies across all organizations. If a restore is blocked, review the error notification and check whether another active record has that External ID. Resolve the duplicate before trying to restore the record again.
  1. On your product's menu, select Assets, Processing activities, Entities, or Vendors.

The corresponding inventory list screen appears.

  2. Click the Recycle bin button.
